Don Severino Agricultural College (DSAC) was converted to Cavite State University by virtue of Republic Act No. 8468. This photo was used in the 1998 DSAC Annual Report to give significance to the signing of the Act.

Araw ng Kalikasan Posters

Kaong or sugar palm (Arenga pinnata) is one of the research thrusts of the university. It is also the focus product of the municipality of Indang under the One Town One Product (OTOP) program.

Don Severino delas Alas
Cavite State University was the former Don Severino Agricultural College from 1964 to 1998 and Don Severino National Agricultural School from 1958 to 1964. Don Severino delas Alas was Secretary of Interior in the Aguinaldo cabinet. The school was named after him in recognition of his land donation and generosity.

Science High School
The Laboratory School of the university is presently called the Science High School. Cavite State University maintains a 500-student high school population in the main campus and in the Naic and Rosario campuses.

College of Education (CEd)
CEd is one of the oldest colleges of the university. It initially offered agricultural education when the school was still an agricultural college. At present, it offers undergraduate and graduate programs in elementary and secondary education, hotel and restaurant management, and tourism management.

2-Story Engineering Building
This used to be the administration building when the university was still the Don Severino Agricultural College (DSAC). It now houses the Department of Agricultural and Food Engineering and the Department of Civil Engineering.

The four-story Information Technology Center caters to the ICT needs of the university. It houses the Internet Laboratory, Central Computer Laboratory, Data Center, and several classrooms.

This three-story building of the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) is the base of the Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering and the Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology.

The Engineering Science building is the newest building in the campus. It is part of the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT). Though not fully finished yet, classes are now held in the first three floors beginning 1st Semester of Academic Year 2009-2010.

The whole building used to house the Institute of Food Technology of the College of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Natural Resources (CAFENR). At present, it is the university's Coffee Trading and Processing Center.

This is the academic building of the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. CVMBS used to be a department of CAFENR. The College has been proud of its graduates who excel in the board exams and in their fields of employment.

Rolle Hall
The building was called Social Hall before it was named after the former DSAC Pres. Santiago M. Rolle. This 400-seating capacity structure is the favorite venue for student convocations, academic activities, and social gatherings.

The College of Nursing is the newest college in the main campus. It used to be a department of the College of Arts and Sciences. Nursing is one of the most attractive courses in the university but the College has implemented strict retention policies to improve the performance of CvSU in the board exams.

Centennial Jar
A tightly-sealed vessel containing mementos and wishes for the next 100 years was installed here during the centennial celebration of the university in 2006.
