Don Severino delas Alas


Cavite State University was the former Don Severino Agricultural College from 1964 to 1998 and Don Severino National Agricultural School from 1958 to 1964. Don Severino delas Alas was Secretary of Interior in the Aguinaldo cabinet. The school was named after him in recognition of his land donation and generosity.

College of Education (CEd)


CEd is one of the oldest colleges of the university. It initially offered agricultural education when the school was still an agricultural college. At present, it offers undergraduate and graduate programs in elementary and secondary education, hotel and restaurant management, and tourism management.

This used to be the administration building when the university was still the Don Severino Agricultural College (DSAC). It now houses the Department of Agricultural and Food Engineering and the Department of Civil Engineering.

The building was called Social Hall before it was named after the former DSAC Pres. Santiago M. Rolle. This 400-seating capacity structure is the favorite venue for student convocations, academic activities, and social gatherings.

The College of Nursing is the newest college in the main campus. It used to be a department of the College of Arts and Sciences. Nursing is one of the most attractive courses in the university but the College has implemented strict retention policies to improve the performance of CvSU in the board exams.
